APANY extends warm congratulations to Javiette Richardson on her graduation from Monroe College. Richardson is one of the first recipients of our APANY Heritage Scholarship Fund in partnership with the Optimist Club of Anguilla. She credits her educational grant as an essential asset to her attainment of her Bachelor's degree in Business Management with a minor in Hospitality Management.

In a letter of appreciation to APANY, Ms. Richardson wrote, "Thanks to your financial assistance, not only was I able to graduate on June 8th, 2014, but [I also] received the honour of Summa Cum Laude with honourable mention for a perfect 4.0 grade point average (GPA)."

Richardson has returned to Anguilla upon the completion of her courses and plans to use her degree to aid in the country's development in whatever capacity possible. On her college experience, she wrote, "College can be quite stressful and hectic at times, but the feeling received from acing a test and/or the privilege to foster a new way of thinking makes it all worthwhile." We wish her the very best in all of her future endeavors
